Matthew Humphreys will captain the Ireland Wolves on their multi-format tour of Zimbabwe, Cricket Ireland said on 5 November 2026. The Wolves play Zimbabwe A in two four-day matches and five one-day matches in Harare, with the first four-day game beginning at Harare Sports Club on 5 November.
What Was Announced
Humphreys, 24, has previously captained the Northern Knights in the Inter-Provincial Cup and Trophy and the Strikers in the Emerald Challenge. "It's obviously a special thing to be asked to captain your country at any level," he said. "We don't play a huge amount of red-ball cricket, so having these two four-day matches coming up is a great opportunity for us."
