What It Means
Cricket Ireland described the series as a development opportunity for some of its newest internationals, up-and-coming prospects and players returning from injury.
Ireland Men's bowling coach Ryan Eagleson, who returns to the set-up after time out with an injury, said every seam bowler on the trip has played for the senior team in at least one format. He pointed to Mark Adair and Josh Little as experienced figures in the group. On the captain, he said Humphreys is "a natural leader" who "wants to get in the contest".
